Pizzeria Mozza (Singapore)

Pizzeria Mozza is the poor brother of Osseteria Mozza of Mario Batali at The Shoppes, Marina Bay Sands shopping mall in Singapore. The restaurant opened on 2010, serves pizzas and little else. We arrived late in the afternoon and took a seat for a quick meal.

Service: 12/20
Service was polite and informal, however waiters seemed to have none or little experience, forgetting customers requests. The pizzas were relatively quick to the table, but probably could have been much faster considering the preparation and cooking time that it takes to make a pizza.

Restaurant décor and ambience: 12/20
Casual pizzeria style restaurant, informal and relaxed, but noisy and in the middle of and with windows to The Shoppes, as in db Bistro Moderne by Daniel Boulod (review below) which is located right next to it.

Food: 16/20
Pizza was thin and crunchy and the tomato sauce (enough to balance the pizza) and high quality mozzarella were a perfect combination for the base. The Italian pepperoni topping was strong and meaty flavoured, a classic and straightforward yet so delicious pizza. However, the pizza was not always easy to cut.
